Sectional final was nerve racking as not only did the cold weather make people shiver, but the tightly played game kept everyone’s nerves on end.
Zionsville scored early and put the Greyhounds on alert right out of the gate. Riley Pelton equalized in the 1st half off a corner kick. Both teams scored again in the 2nd half. Overtime failed to pick a winner and the game was taken to PKs.
Zionsville’s 2nd kicker missed high as Carmel went perfect on PKs to clinch the win.
